We are full of Goose Eggs!

Here is the latest. It happened last night while I was at work. It is another good one!! Ian was such a good husband and took some pictures so I could blog it! :)




And this is the culprit!

Ian said it happened about 1 minute before he was going to put Gunner to bed. He said they had been playing Dr. and playing so well together in the living room while he was on the computer, when he heard it. He thinks it was just an accident but Gunner had swung the stethascope (sp?) and hit her while she was laying on the couch. She immediately started screaming, and he said he knew it was bad, and she was kind of covering her eye, so he thought it was her eye hurt, but he moved her hand and he said he watched her forehead grow! He said if it didn't stop growing in a second he was going to call 911. Poor Gunner knew he was in trouble, and he felt bad and started crying too.
Ian didn't know what to do, so he grabbed some frozen carrots to put on it, then changed to a bag of ice.
Here it is this morning.


Malia told me this morning she got to stay up for a little while and got to put ice in a bag on her forehead.
I think people are going to start thinking that we beat our kids!! I am sure we will have many more of these this winter! They are too used to running around outside.

When do you die?

Here's another one from Malia. She asked me why do Moms and Dads and Grandpas and Grandmas know so much. I told her it was because we have been alive a lot longer than her and she has only been alive for 4 years (she said almost 5), and Gunner only 2 years. She said how long have you been alive? I told her, and she said oh, that's old, well when do you die then? I remember when I thought 27 was old too.

Funny..

Ian even sent this to me. I thought is was pretty funny.

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance -- particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0, NBA 3.0, and Golf Clubs 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Dear Desperate,

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System. Please enter the command: 'I Thought You Loved Me.exe' and try to download Tears 6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.

If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, over use of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1. Caution, Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources).

Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Food 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Crazy Kids!

We have really enjoyed these past few extra days of nice weather! The kids spend pretty much all day outside! Between the Hummer and the swing set, and their new thing searching for rocks in the garden spot, it is nice for me! They play so well together right now, and have so much fun out there! Here they are being crazy on the Hummer.

Gunner's Head.....

Is one big goose egg lately. This one happened just days after the last one had healed in the exact same spot. I didn't even know when it happened, he never came to me crying, I just noticed it later. Then the next day he got another one on the other side of his forehead, but it was in his hair a little bit, so harder to see, but you could sure feel it! This kid doesn't watch where he is going, or is just going too fast. I think the majority of these he gets from running into the wall.
Good thing he has a hard head I guess.

Where were you?

I saw this on Julie's blog, and I had to copy the idea. I have been thinking about it also. I think everyone will always remember where they were and what they were doing, atleast I will.
Where were you when the towers fell?
I very specifically remember this day because it was Ian and my 1 month anniversary, and it just happened that we had gotten into our very first "fight" the night before.
As I left for work, he had written the most caring note and left it on the doorknob on the front door, so I would not miss it. While listening to the radio on the drive, I just remember thinking something really big and bad had happenend, but I still wasn't quite sure what was going on. I just needed to call Ian back at home and tell him sorry, and to turn on the tv to see what was going on.
As most of you will remember, those first few hours of watching the coverage, I remember thinking this was unbelievable! And still not sure what was all happening and what else was going to happen. I worked at the Surgical Center at the time and there was a TV in the waiting room, and I remember thinking I couldn't wait to give the receptionist her break so I could watch what was going on. That was the moment that the 2nd plane hit and then the first tower fell. Then hating to have to go back upstairs where we could only listen to what was happening. I think only the very necessity got done that day as we all crowded around the radio just waiting for what was going to come next. And the waiting as they tried to figure out how many more planes had been hijacked. And then to hear about the plane that had crashed into the pentagon, and then the one that crashed in PA, and wondering where would the next one be? Our Administrator and Nurse Administrator and Office Manager had all been at a meeting at Corporate in Alabama, and their plane got grounded somewhere in the midwest, they ended up renting a car and drove the 20 hours straight home.
The unease of everything those first few days and weeks was horrible, and I too remember listening to Pres. Hinckley speak, and feeling his calmness, and assurance to us.
Then how great it was to see and to start to hear of all the heroic stories being told, and the flags going up and the feeling that it didn't matter who you were, but you were still a part of this great country.

First Day of School

Well it was finally Malia's first day of school! She was so excited! She was not nervous at all because she is going to the same school as last year. I also love it because it is on the way to Ian's work, so he can just drop her off on his way. Then I don't have to get ready so fast in the morning especially right now when I don't feel so good.

She loved it! She was so excited to see some of her old friends from last year! And her favorite, getting to line up.
Poor Gunner, he is not so excited for Malia to go to Preschool. We went to her open house last week and he had so much fun playing with the toys with her in there. So when it got down to today, he kept crying "No, me preschool too!" "Miss my Lia".

So he got to run errands with mom. Something I have refused to do with both of them. They are totally fine when I take them separetely, but together, it's too much for me in stores! I don't know what I am going to do with 3!! Then I guess the 2 will seem easy. Anyway, we went to the $ store and he got to pick out one thing. Ian will be proud, he skipped over the princess shoes, and picked a gun! He informed me he is going to shoot elk with Daddy. Then we went to the park by Malia's preschool and he got to play for a few minutes while we waited for Malia to get out. I think for today, I made up for him not going to preschool. We will see how the rest of the days go!

Lake Sacajawea

Okay, here are the pictures from our week long camping/boating trip finally. We had a really fun time, even though the weather only cooperated half the time. Dang Wind! Lake Sacajawea is a really cool place, thanks Mike and Katie for telling us about it! We camped in the grass right next to the lake and the dock and there was also a little swim area, which Malia asked to go there every day. Here are a few pictures of them enjoying floating in the swim area.







We camped with a couple of families with kids, so that made it really fun for Malia and Gunner. They had so much fun playing different games in the grass! Here they are playing hide and seek, it was hilarious! They would all take turns counting and the rest would hide behind one of the tents. Half the time when the person who was counting got done, they would turn around, and here came a line of kids running to a different tent!

Then they tried to play Duck Duck Goose, but trying to play with a 2 and 3 year old that has never played, it was funny to watch!

Then here are the pictures of what we went there for. I didn't even take very many, and there are none of me, but I did actually get up on the wakeboard and skis. It was the first time since I broke my wrist! And I didn't dare do anything, I just wanted to see if I could do it. Ian did awesome! He got good at jumping the wake that's all I took pictures of him doing.



We tried to get Malia to ski, Ian even tried to bribe her with a hula hoop, (she wants one really bad) and we thought it was going to work. The first few days in her prayers there she was praying that she could ski, but the days she said she was going to do it, it was too windy, and then she didn't want to do it anymore. We also bribed Gunner to jump off the boat into the water, and he did it! He got this cool hummer truck! He was pretty proud!

It got really windy a few of the nights when we were trying to enjoy the fire and the yummy dutch oven desserts! The guys tried to be creative and make us a wind block with the picnic tables.....

It didn't work. All it accomplished was to make a hole in the screen tent when one blew over. So we moved up to the parking lot where for some reason wasn't getting as much wind, and still got to enjoy the dessert!
I even made my family's dutch oven potatoes for the first time, and they turned out really good!
So despite the few really windy days, the trains going right by a million times a night and the little bit of rain we got, and for the fact that I was pretty much sick and wanted to lay in the tent the whole time, we did have a really fun time!

April Fools Day!

Yeah! That's my due date! I am about 10 weeks.
Here's our little peanut!

I went to the doctor and everything looks good so far!
The kids are excited! They both want a little sister.
According to the chinese pregnancy calendar, which was correct with both Malia and Gunner, we are having a girl! :( We will see if it works this third time though, we are hoping for a boy!

New Fence

The week that we were home in between all our trips, Ian (with a little bit of help from me) built this! The neighbor behind us bought all the material and Ian just had to put it up! Awesome! The other fence was really bad, and now the dogs won't keep finding a way through it. Now just can't wait until the whole length of the yard is done.

We Love Craigslist!

We have bought and sold a lot of things off craigslist. Here are a few of our latest fun things.
We finally talked Malia into selling her cute little playhouse that we bought her off craigslist a few years ago, we sold it for more than we bought it for.

Ian told her we had to sell it if she wanted a swing set for the yard. We also wanted the space in her bedroom too. We searched for a while, and this is the best $5 we have spent on Craigslist!

Then with the left over money, we found these! Such a great deal for two power wheels! We found out why it was such a great deal though, the corvette needs a new battery and we are having a hard time finding a new one... so we will see. They both absolutely love the Hummer though!



I would say we did a good trade overall. It definately keeps the kids busy outside all day long!
