The kids participated in the Turkey Trot on Tues. that was at the field by our house. They always ask to go run on the red track. So they were pretty excited. Gunner's age (Pre-K) ran a 200, and Malia's age (K) ran a 300.
Here are a few videos of them running. Sorry they are not very good, but I was having a hard time because Cooper was in the front pack trying to grab the camera. Gunner did good, there were a lot of kids older than him, and he finished about in the middle of the pack, but he was more like.... hum de dum :)
When his race was over though, he wanted to do it again.
Malia on the other hand is quite competetive, so I was interested to see how well she would really do. She was so determined to win.
She did great! She was in the lead for part of the way. And was very happy with her 2nd place finish.
She won a Turkey T-shirt and water bottle. And then her favorite part, having her name announced over the loud speaker. :)

Help
I had a friend take our pictures and she did a great job! Especially considering Gunner was being so difficult.
We are having a hard time picking out one, maybe you can help.

Ward Party
Here are a few from our ward party. Like I said Ian and I were in charge of the picture booth, so we made this backdrop, which turned out okay. It's nothing professional, but it worked.

A little bit about Gunner's poor costume. He was supposed to be a luchadore (Mexican wrestler) We had a Mexican mask, but 1. You couldn't wear masks to the party and 2. We found out he wouldn't even wear the mask anyway.
I had made the little cape to match the mask and we had a little muscle costume he was going to wear under the cape. Well right before the party we went to put it all together, the muscle costume was too small, and he wouldn't put on his mask. So we just dressed him in black and painted his face. Then he didn't know what he was, because two days before he had changed his mind and wanted to be batman. So for the first little while at the party when people would ask him what he was he would say batman, but by the end of the party, he was so confused, and didn't like his cape anymore, when people would ask what he was, he would just say "I don't know".
They still had fun running around and playing the carnival games.
My friends, the care bears :)

Birthday Girl!
We are still here. I haven't had very much motivation to post anything probably because I have a ton to catch up on. Also, we went through having the H1N1 virus, or we suspect that is what it was. But it only hit Malia and Gunner. So far the rest of us have been lucky. Here is the beginning of the catch up.
On the 30th was Malia's 6th birthday! Because we had a ward Halloween party that night we decided to do her party the next day. I asked her a while ago what she wanted to do for her birthday and she just said a family party so I was like okay!!! She wanted to go bowling like Gunner did for his birthday. Then the day before she told me she changed her mind and decided that she wanted a friend party. So we improvised and she got to invite one friend to go bowling with us.
