So on Dec. 11th Ian turned the big 30!! He told me he didn't want anything big, so there went my plans for a surpirse party :). The day started out with opening presents before Malia went to school.
We had to get him some Camo slippers.
To go with his Camo pajama pants and Camo sweatshirt. I swear, with three boys now, we have camo everything running out of our ears.
He also got some new shoes to go along with his Christmas/Birthday present, his AR gun.
Then that night we went to McGraths with some friends, which I forgot to take a picture of. Then came back to our house for Panookies! It is a big huge warm cookie baked in a cast iron pan with ice cream piled on top...yummy! Then followed that up with a mean game of Killer Bunnies! So fun! I hope he had a good day! You only turn 30 once!

Elk Anyone?
I have a bunch of other things to catch up on that we have done the past few weeks, but this I think was one of the funnest, so I am posting it first. We went out to the Elk Preserve about an hour away from where we live this morning. They give tractor rides to feed the elk all winter long, but all the reservations for this whole season were already taken, so we decided to just go out and see them. This is their winter feeding program. They feed the elk everyday from December to March. The elk are so run down and tired from the rut that they really need the food.
We were really pretty close to them, but it was fun to use the binoculars to see even closer.
It was a group of cub scouts who had the reservation for today. There was a little bit of room and one of the leaders asked if we wanted to go with them. It really made the drive out there worth it because we got to be about 20 feet from them, and the kids loved helping feed them.

Chocolate Dipping Fun!
My friend invited us over for some Chocolate Dipping. She had rolled all different flavors of fondant and had carmel and pretzels for us to dip also. It was a lot of fun. I think the kids had a great time even though they were done after about 15 minutes, and just wanted to play together.
Darcy, Me, Rochelle, and Bethany.
We have so much fun when we get together.
And our husbands are such good sports and get dragged along :)
Even if they get put at the little table :)
Here are all the little rowdies. They all have so much fun together also, but as you can imagine it gets crazy too.
And then we had a yummy lunch! Thank you guys! What a fun tradition!

Turkey Trot
The kids participated in the Turkey Trot on Tues. that was at the field by our house. They always ask to go run on the red track. So they were pretty excited. Gunner's age (Pre-K) ran a 200, and Malia's age (K) ran a 300.
Here are a few videos of them running. Sorry they are not very good, but I was having a hard time because Cooper was in the front pack trying to grab the camera. Gunner did good, there were a lot of kids older than him, and he finished about in the middle of the pack, but he was more like.... hum de dum :)
When his race was over though, he wanted to do it again.
Malia on the other hand is quite competetive, so I was interested to see how well she would really do. She was so determined to win.
She did great! She was in the lead for part of the way. And was very happy with her 2nd place finish.
She won a Turkey T-shirt and water bottle. And then her favorite part, having her name announced over the loud speaker. :)

Help
I had a friend take our pictures and she did a great job! Especially considering Gunner was being so difficult.
We are having a hard time picking out one, maybe you can help.
