Ian and I played on a Coed Softball team and we took 1st! We had an awesome team! Uncle Colten came and visited us for a few days while he was interviewing at OHSU.
Just one of the many hobo spiders we get that try to invade our house in the fall.
Gunner and Malia were watching Bobbie Flay with dad one day, and they all got it in their minds that they wanted me to make Eggplant Parmesean. So we got one at the farmer's market and tried it out. Not bad, but did the kids eat it? Nope! They did try it though.
Teaching Cooper Utah Utes!!! He is such a little copycat lately, and will do or say just about anything you tell him to now. So fun!

Soccer
The kids played soccer again. Ian coached Gunner's team the Red Fireballs, and Malia was on the Yellow Lightening Ravens. They have a lot of fun, and both are definately athletes. Malia was almost a whole head shorter than everyone on her team, but she fought with the best of them, she wasn't scared to push the boys back either. Gunner loved to count how many goals he would make every game. Their little team of all boys dominated their age group!

OMSI
Another thing we have been wanting to do for the 6 + years we have lived here is OMSI. We finally bought a pass. I headed out with Gunner and Cooper and some friends. Pretty fun place to explore.
Gunner's favorite part was being a weatherman. Cooper was fascinated with the dinosaurs.
They all loved the Allstate "Earthquake house".

Pittock Mansion
Pittock Mansion is a place we have been wanting to go to for a long time. It has a gorgeous view of Portland and some cool Portland history. If you want to learn more go here You can go inside, but we didn't brave it with the kids :)

Portland
And let my family experience a little taste of where we live.........
The Waterfront
A doughnut shop that was not kid friendly :)
Except that the doughnuts were delicious.
We devoured them! Then we came back to our house and let the kids swim and relaxed.
With a little soccer.
The last day when they left. The kids and I drove with them as far as Silver Falls State Park and we hiked a few waterfalls. It was a sad day to have them go home! We had so much fun with them here!!
