Christmas Eve 2009

I have been meaning to post Christmas in Utah for so long now, but there are so many pictures I want to put here. I have decided I have to just break it up. So here is the first of many.
After packing and repacking to make Christmas fit in our van, we left Oregon on the 23rd and made it to Salt Lake around midnight where we stayed with my brother. The kids actually did surprisingly well, and it only took us 12 hours. We got our stops all together and only stopped when we needed gas.
We left my brother's house and went and visited a friend and then of course we had to stop at Cabelas. Ian wanted to spend longer, but it was already lunch time, and I was ready to get going. We finally made it with the kids doing very good again, and they were so excited to see cousins, the minute we got there they disappeared.
We have a few traditions that we do there on Christmas Eve. All the kids open their new pajamas.

We had all drawn names and then we exchange all the family gifts that night. Starting with the cousins.

Then the kids get put to bed, and the adults get to open their presents.

Then another tradition is those of us that can, make a family video from the past year. My brothers are so very creative and so we laugh until we cry watching them!
Here is one of my brother's video if you want to get the idea. I can't get mine to upload to youtube, but it is nothing compared to that one.
Then Santa comes...

And we can't forget the rock band.
