The next day we decided to ride the max into downtown.
And let my family experience a little taste of where we live.........
The Waterfront
A doughnut shop that was not kid friendly :)
Except that the doughnuts were delicious.
We devoured them!
Then we came back to our house and let the kids swim and relaxed.
With a little soccer.
The last day when they left. The kids and I drove with them as far as Silver Falls State Park and we hiked a few waterfalls. 
It was a sad day to have them go home! We had so much fun with them here!!

2) I've totally seen some kind of PBS Roadtrip special on that donut shop! I want to go there! Even if it's not kid-friendly ;-)
