EEWW GROSS!!!!!

As Gunner would say! I had my very anticipated post-op appt today with my surgeon and he took off my splint. I got to see my wrist for the first time since the night it happened. He took xrays and said that everything looks great, the bone is healing in place nicely, which is great to hear. I get the pins out in 3 weeks. I got fitted with a new removable splint, which I think is the ugliest thing in the world! It kind of looks like a 4 year old made it, I will post a picture of it later. It feels different so I am going to have to get used to it. But I think why it feels so weird is because I know exactly where the pins are and what it looks like. Ian took a picture of it with his phone so it is a little fuzzy, but that is probably a good thing! It was also taken before it was cleaned off too. So if you dare to look, here it is (warning this is graphic!!)......I will post more when we get back from MEXICO!!!

Yup! That is pretty gross but I'm glad its on the mend! I'm glad we are all into the blogging thing. It will be easy to update you on the class reunion next year. If you have any ideas you want to throw out that would be great since you are the experienced one! Have fun in Mexico!

That looks kind of sick, like something out of a frankenstein movie. Hope all goes well with it, and that you're back to 100% by July 16th!

Hey Lara,

I came across your blog from Karen's. I didn't even know about your arm. I guess I should read up a little more frequently so I know what's going on with everyone. I hope your arm gets well soon.
