Malia has been taking swimming lessons. This year she didn't want to dance she just wanted to take swimming. She loves it despite being afraid of putting her face in the water (I wonder where she gets that from?) But in these past few weeks she has done amazingly well! She now dares to go clear under the water and jump in all by herself. She was the best kicker in her class. And she passed her level! I can't believe how much she improved. I think it really helped that she had a girl teacher (that's the only thing she was worried about) and that there was only 3 girls in the class. One of the girls was a little fish as far as going under the water, and Malia seeing that I think helped a lot. These are pictures from the last day when they got to go down the slide. Bear with the fuzzy ones, I was playing with the settings trying to figure out the best one.
This is Gunner going potty. Everytime we got there he had to use the potty, even if I had made him go before we left. Daddy was there this time and got to take him. He had fun watching Malia, but didn't understand why he couldn't get in and swim. Maybe next session....

That is so great that Malia is learning how to swim. It is always such a relief when your kid swims well enough that you don't have to worry about them in the water. She is such a cutie
