I know it's been a long time and no post, but I just can't sit at the computer for that long anymore. Everyone has been asking if I am still alive. I don't know what it is with this pregnancy, but sitting for any length of time has been really uncomfortable, especially on hard surfaces. Especially these past few weeks, it seems it has gotten worse. It is really hard because I am usually always on the computer!
But just an update on how all of us are doing. Ian has just been working like always, but just got a new calling as Venture Scout leader, his dream calling he says. So we won't both be in Primary anymore. So he can take the baby on Sundays now.
Malia has been taking swimming lessons, and has improved so much! She was a little like her mom and didn't like to put her face in the water, her eyes have a reaction to the chlorine. We got her goggles, and she wore them the first day of her second session and she just took off. The only bad thing is, her teacher said she didn't want her to wear them, until they started swimming in the big pool. But she didn't tell us until after she had wore them for one whole lesson. Malia was not happy about this. But just wearing them one day helped her, and she is doing great with swimming now on her own with her face in the water. She just complains a lot about her eyes, and comes home with pretty swollen eyes. She can't wait until she can start wearing them again.
She is also very excited for her little baby brother to come. She can't talk to me without asking to say something to the baby, about a million times a day. But it is really cute to see the look on her face when she feels him move.
Gunner is well, just Gunner, and is constantly making us laugh. He too talks a lot about when his baby brother comes out, and almost everytime I leave to go somewhere he asks if I am going to go get my baby out. Even though Malia and Gunner play extremely well together, he still is a little brother and will get in these little moods where he just wants to tackle her and sit on her. It is just too funny to watch, because he can get her on the ground so easy.
I am still hanging in there these last few weeks of pregnancy. Keeping busy with Primary for this next week with a quarterly activity, and sharing time, then I have no more responsibilites really until May.
I am 36 weeks now and I had a Dr. appt today. I had to have another ultrasound, it was my 4th! They just wanted to check the baby's growth and amniotic fluid levels because I am measuring 2cm small. Of course everything is just great, they estimate the baby is about 6 lbs 6 oz give or take a pound :). And for the big shocker to me, I am already dilated to a 3 and atleast 70% effaced, she said she didn't want to push around very much and get things started. I was never dilated this much this soon with the other two, but I was at a 5 with Gunner the day before I actually started having contractions on his due date. So we will see if I last another 4 weeks. It is kind of exciting, because you always wish you could come early. But kind of scary because it is still a little too early for me, and I am not ready, but now I think I better stop putting off those last few things. My Dr. is going to be gone my whole 39th-40 week. So it's likely she won't deliver me, again. We will see, maybe I will go before she leaves.
So that is what we have been up to, haven't really taken very many pictures, maybe next time!

Sorry that you're so uncomfortable at this point! It's probably because the baby is so low! That's great that you're body's already getting close.
I had Raelyn at 37 weeks (she was 6lb 8oz). At my first check up for the "checking down there area" at 36 weeks, the Dr. said,
"well, no wonder you've been having bladder painline spasms and have to go so often! Her head is right here. I've never felt a head this low in a woman that's not in labor before!" Well, 3 days later my water broke!
Poor Malia and her eyes! Some kids really are allergic to chlorine. Being a swim instructor myself for over 10 years (although I only do my kids now), I am appalled that she won't let Malia use her goggles, especially because she CLEARLY has an allergy. Trevor (my hubbie) has a little sister that can't even go swimming in chlorinated pools because she's allergic.
I would strongly suggest that you explain to your teacher that she does indeed have an allergy to it and the increasing exposure to her bare eyes is making things worse! But that's just me. I would hope the instructor would be understanding when it's an allergy concerned.
I totally understand the whole uncomfortable thing. I am just starting to get that at 32 weeks. I sit at my job all day and I try to go for little walks here and there but everything is just getting uncomfortable. I just feel huge! Hang in there, by the sounds of it you might not have much time left!
I had to chuckle when I read your blog entry. I remember when I was pregnant with Luke, they told me that I needed to be induced early because of high blood pressure. But I was also measuring 2 cm small. After an ultrasound, they told me Luke was anywhere between 6 and 8 pounds. He weighed in at 10 lb. 4 oz. So, I wouldn't be too concerned!! I am excited for you. You are so close to having your baby! I am jealous. I sill have so long to go!
You are so close!! And already getting things going-that's great news. Good luck to you guys the next couple of weeks getting everything ready!!
Hang in there! We miss you and hope everything goes well these next few weeks.
