I had a great week last week. My birthday was on Saturday. My friends surprised me on Tues. by getting a babysitter for all our kids and taking me out to lunch at Red Robin. Love these girls!
On Friday my friends, with all our husbands, went out to eat at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary school and had a 5 course dinner. It was so fun and the food was fancy and great. Some of the things we tried on the menu were their tomato basil soup and chicken mushroom potato soup. For appetizers shrimp, and a rabbit terrine (interesting), then the best cesar salad we have ever had. They had 4 entrees, Salmon, Pork Loin, Duck, and a Beef tenderloin. Then for dessert lava cake, orange creme brule, root beer float, and haselnut moose.
On Saturday Ian let me sleep in while making this yummy score cake.
Then I got my hair cut and I openend my presents!
Yeah! Now my next projects are going to be easier! A new sander and jig saw!
That night we went to our stake Valentines Dance, then we left early and my friends and I went to Valentines Day in the theater. So much fun!
There's still more....
On Sunday we had a special Valentines lunch. Yes, I realize the smoothie is not so pink, but Malia wanted me to make her spinach shake, and I tried to make it pink but it made it off colored..it still tasted good.
After church we went to Ian's parents for a Valentines/Birthday/Chinese New Year/Presidents Day dinner. :)
I have to admit with my birthday and Valentines day one day apart, I sometimes feel gypped (sp?) This year has definately made up for it. I have the best husband and family and friends ever! Thanks everyone!
