4th of July

This year we were in the Hillsboro Parade again. This time we had a ton more people, lots more space, because we pulled the boat, a huge amount of small and large frisbees, footballs, soccer balls and we can't forget candy to throw. Despite it being hot! And waiting 2 hours in line before we actually started moving, it was pretty fun. So much fun that some of the kids had thrown their alotted bag of goodies before we actually hit the official parade route.

Then after we hurried and ate lunch, Malia and Gunner got to go with Grandpa and Grandma to Uncle Grants for a BBQ while Ian and I spent 2 hours and $500 in two stores on groceries for the Scout High Adventure he was going on that next week. Craziness! Then we rushed home, put what we needed into the fridge and freezer, and he rushed off to an Eagle Scout Project and I went out to pick up the other kids.
Later we did get to relax a bit while everyone came back over to our house for some fireworks. It was very convenient, we got to watch all their fireworks, and just had to provide the location. :)

We did get invited to go see some big fireworks, but we were beat! Plus knowing that we both had an early morning coming Monday as we both would leave at 5am. Him on his High Adventure, and the kids and I to Utah.
