Mexico Day 1 & 2

We took a red eye from PDX and got to Atlanta about 3am our time, tried to find a quiet place in the airport to sleep, but it was 6am, and bustling! Then from Atlanta to Cancun.

We got to our resort at about 1pm.

This is the view from the door of our room.

The pool and view back up to our building.
The pool with view out to the beach and palapas.

Our building. We were on the top floor.
Our suite.

View from our balcony.
We met up with Rand and Shemri and we got pina coladas they showed us around everywhere. It was hot!

That night they had made reservations at the Marina restaraunt. It was supposed to be their fancy one. It was not! The service was not real good, and the food was just okay, but good enough we were all full! Thus starting our week off to 5 course meals every night!

We then took a walk on the beach and went to bed early. We were exhausted!

Day 2

We woke up, got our rental car, ate at the buffet until we were stuffed and headed to Xel-Ha.

Ian and I, along with Jamie, decided to swim with the dolphins. It has been Ian's dream for a long time!

After that we snorkeled for a bit and then went and ate at their yummy buffet until we were stuffed again!
We then took the bus up to the start of the river where Rand, Ian, Zac and Jamie snorkeled, and Shemri and I decided we had enough snorkeling and opted to tube it instead.

The boys spent a lot of time hunting for conches. You could get out and walk the paths with iguanas and wierd looking animals. We spent a lot of time at their ziplines, and jumps.

And one thing we learned and did well was to not pass up any ice cream!
We then went to downtown Playa del Carmen and walked along the shops.

Then we rushed back to make our reservation at the Alcazar restaraunt for another 5 course meal. It was by far the best food there!

After dinner we walked out to their little entertainment where they had scantilly clad men and women dancing, and opted to go to bed after another exhausting but fun day!
