So we decided to get Christmasy, and make some memories. I got the gingerbread house kit at Michaels and told the kids after church we would make it. They were so excited! Gunner just kept talking about it! So they made sure their rooms were all picked up so we could make it.
We got the kit all out, and then we realized that in between putting it together you had to let it dry for a couple of hours. Yeah, should have read the directions earlier.
So we waited until after dinner and decorated the house. There was a few less candy to put on the house by then though, but it turned out okay. It definately wouldn't win any contest, but the kids had fun, and Ian and I did too.

Seriously Lara... Are you really pregnant?? You don't even look like it! Your gingerbread house is way cute. I'd give you an award! :)
I was just thinking the same thing. You don't even look pregnant. Don't you just love the gingerbread house kits? They are so much fun and kids always remember the times that they got to help with building them.
Cute. It's so much easier to do a gingerbread house that way than by scratch! What a fun memory!
So much fun! We did one of those kits last year and the kids (ok and me too) that I decided that we are going to make it a tradition. Now just to find a day to do this years.
And yeah, I really don't like that you are skinnier than I am and I am NOT pregnant!
What fun! I love making gingerbread houses. I pretty much love doing anything that involves Christmas stuff.
That turned out good! You inspired me to want to try.
