It's very interesting to listen to two 3 year olds talk as they play. Gunner has a little friend that he gets along really good with, they are both pretty laid back and I don't think I have ever seen them fight when it is just the two of them. They were playing cars yesterday and here is their conversation.
D-"How old is Malia, is she 5 or is she 6?"
Gunner-"She is 5, she's not 6 yet."
D-"Oh, my brother is 6."
Gunner-"My Dad is going to die"
D-(with a concerned look on his face) "Oh really, How come?"
Gunner-"Because he is getting old."
D-"My Dad is going to die too."
Gunner-"Yeah my mom too, we are all going to die."
D-"Yeah me too."
That was the end of the conversation, I was dying laughing in the other room because they just said it so matter of factly.
So when D's mom came to get him, I told her the conversation right off, it was a good thing because as soon as she sat down, her son asked her, "Mom, am I going to die?" So she went on to explain to them that they have a long time before they were to die, because she said, look at Grandpa and your other Grandma, and so on...
I told Ian that story, and he said, "OOPS!" He had told Gunner a few weeks ago, when they were trying to guess his age that he was so old and was going to die. Didn't think that 30 was THAT old......

That is a super funny conversation. I think it is amazing how little kids put their ideas together.
Oh that is the funniest story ever! Geez Ian, you old man!
I love listening to kid's conversations. They are the best.
