The mighty hunter returns!

Well the big hunt is over on the very first day! He got a big one! The biologist said it is about 9 1/2 to 10 years old, and they usually live to about 10-12 years. It scored 150 for any of you who know about that kind of stuff. The biologist also said that for that area it was a bigger one. It also has a unique knob between his nose and eyes. He was alone when he shot it and said he saw it at about 350 yards and then snuck up to about 150 yards and dropped it in one shot. You can still see the leaves he was eating in his mouth.

This is a view of what he hunted in.

When he got home he hadn't taken the head to the taxidermist yet so we got to go see it, the kids were really excited until they saw it, and then didn't want to go near it, we had to drag them to get a picture.
