Long Month

So it's the beginning of a long month. Ian left last night for the first day of Hunting Season. We are just hoping and praying that he gets his deer and elk soon so that we can enjoy some weekends with him. I really miss having him here at night, especially one like last night. Gunner woke up at 2:00, I think having a bad dream because he was saying "the water is getting me". Lately, if the kids do wake up, Ian is usually the first one up (which I appreciate a lot) he just puts them right back in bed and they go right back to sleep. If I ever go in, Gunner wants me to stay with him, and when I don't, he cries and cries, like last night. But last night he went from saying Momma! to Daddy Daddy! I felt bad and had to go back in. Just thank goodness for "Ma's" stories. (My mom and dad recorded telling stories on a CD for all the grandkids, and that's how they go to bed) I turned them on, and he stopped crying. The only problem with that is Gunner likes it loud! Lately he has been pulling the CD Player up on his bed so it is right next to him, and then turns it up and down until he falls asleep. Last night I was too tired to care and it was better than his crying. And then because I let them go to bed a little later last night, and he got up for a little while I was sure that he would sleep in! Nope, 6:30! So I put him back in bed with Ma's stories again and got another 45 minutes of sleep.
