Week 2 of Utah Trip

So It always seems that we do a lot of fun things after Ian leaves. Probably because he comes when there is a big event and we are so busy, but then has to go home, and then it is more relaxed we can just do the Enterprise things. We always have to do a trip to the reservoir, and this time we had a picnic in the campground and hiked on the honeycomb rocks. We were glad that Colten came along!

Then we went to St. George to be at the court house for my brother Rand and Shemri's adoption to be final. Braden was so cute! We are glad he is officially part of the family!
After the Courthouse, we all went to a place called Jumpin Jacks. It is this awesome building with all these blow up slides. The kids had fun, but I think the adults had more fun! Unfortunately at the courthouse Gunner did a head plant into the cement when he was racing Jake and got a huge goose egg and scrape, and that is what is on his forehead. Malia was the perfect age for this, I could not keep up with her! That is why there are hardly any pictures of her. She was a wild women going down the slides.

Then we left and got lunch and went to Tai Pan, but we didn't stay as long as I would have liked because Gunner was having issues with going to the potty. And by then I was remembering why I could not live in St. George! I am not used to the heat! I was about ready to pass out just going between the air conditioned car to the air conditioned building. But what did we do next? We went out into the heat once more! They have built this new little water park thing in St. George so we met back up with Rand and Shemri and her sister Ali for the kids to play in the water. It was a cool little place for the kids and there was even a little bit of shade. It was fun, even though I thought I was going to die of heat :)

Another day we decided to do something where it was a little more cool, and we took my Grandpa up on Cedar and Kanara Mountain. He used to work up there in a mine when he was in his early 20's before WW2. It was so interesting to hear all of his stories! I really enjoyed it, and it was amazing how much he actually remembers. We also stopped at a the lava caves where I haven't been since I was really little. And we had a picnic, which is Malia's favorite part.

My dad has an old feed tower by his store and every year there are baby owls up in the top, my dad and Colten decided to go check because they had heard them. When they got up there (it is a really high climb) they realized the owls weren't babies anymore but there were 9 I think they said up there. They caught one and dropped it down so we could see it, and then we let it fly away.

The last day we were there Rand and Shemri took Braden to the temple to be sealed to them. I was planning to go, but realized on the way down that my recommend had expired in July and it was Aug. 2. I should have just tried to go in because my grandma was in the same situation, and they let her in, but oh well. They are such a cute little family! Then they took us all out to eat at Golden Corral. We were glad that we were atleast there.

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for letting us stay for so long! It was a fun trip!

You guys always do the funnest things with your family when you come to Enterprise! It was good to see you guys, even if it was for only a few minutes here and there!

It looks like you had a GREAT time in Enterprise. Don't you just love when you are in a store that you really want to be in and very rarely get to go to and your kids just don't cooperate. AHHH! I love Tai Pan. I wish there were one down here. It looks like Jumpin Jacks was a lot of fun. We love to go to places like that, it is definitely fun for all ages. I didn't realize there was one in St. George, that's AWESOME! Congrats to Rand & Shemri I'm sure they are SUPER excited to finally have Braden all to themselves. He's too cute! Did you happen to get my e-mail?
